More Big Feelings with Rory
Rory meets more big feelings, excited, shy, proud, jealous and loved, and shows kids that every feeling is okay to name.
Pokey plays and learns right along with you, a fun, hands-on adventure for little ones.
Hello, friends. It's Pokey. I'm a tortoise, and I like to do things slow and steady. Today, let's take some calm breaths together.
When I feel wiggly, worried, or cross, slow breaths help my body settle down. Find a comfy spot, sit up tall, and rest your hands in your lap.
Breathe in slowly through your nose, like smelling a sweet flower. Mmm. Feel the air fill you up.
Now breathe out slowly through your mouth, like blowing on a birthday candle. Gently, so the little flame just wiggles.
Watch the bubble grow as we breathe in, two, three. And shrink as we breathe out, two, three. Let's do it one more time.
Here is a rainbow breath. Lift your arms up high as you breathe in. Bring them down slowly as you breathe out. Can you paint a rainbow with me?
My ladybug friend is breathing with us too. Flower in, candle out. Flower in, candle out. Slow and steady.
Now be still and notice. How does your body feel? Maybe soft and quiet, like this calm little pond. That is what calm feels like.
Nice and calm. Well done. Use your flower and candle breaths any time you need them. Bye for now, friends.
The whole script, in the order it is spoken.
