Tall and Short with Loo

Hi friends, it's Loo! Last time we learned long and short. Today it's tall and short, and there's a tall tree and a short bush right here. Which one is tall?

This pine tree is tall, it reaches up toward the sky. The little bush is short, it stays low. Point up high for tall. Now point down low for short.

A giraffe is very tall, with a long neck for reaching treetop leaves. A duck is short, and waddles close to the ground. Which one could peek over a fence?

Watch me stretch up tall on my tiptoes, arms way up high! Stand up and stretch with me. Now curl down short, like a little acorn, and pop back up tall!

I measure myself against my doorway. Each little mark shows how tall I was before, so I can see I'm growing! Are you taller than last year? Let's figure it out together.

Tall and short, we found them in trees, in animals, and even in me! Who is the tallest person in your family? Who is the shortest? Great measuring, friends!

See you next time, my measuring friend! Today, stand back to back with someone at home, and ask a grown-up to tell you who is taller. Have fun finding out!
